Quiet Mountain Sangha

Quiet Mountain is a women’s Sangha practicing in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh.
Located in lower Westchester County, New York, just north of the city, we are a tributary flowing from the rivers of Budding Flower Sangha and the Community of Mindfulness in New York City.
We meet monthly to enjoy sitting and walking meditation together. We share responsibilities for dharma readings, discussion, and inviting of the bell. We practice loving speech and deep listening, and we notice how our practice of the Five Mindfulness Trainings has brought wholesome energy and healing to our lives. We often take time to share tea and cookies at the end of our practice.
To keep in touch during the month, we exchange e-mails, phone calls, and practice “Second Body” in order to get to know each better and to offer support on the Path.
We are developing a small library of well-loved books, tapes, CDs, videos, and DVDs to support our practice.
In our fourth year as a Sangha, we are noticing the ripening of the fruits of our practice, and aspire to join with other Sanghas in the area to practice Days of Mindfulness.
We welcome new members and appreciate hearing from other practitioners!
Quiet Mountain Sangha is grateful to Dharmacharyas Patricia Hunt-Perry and Lyn Fine for offering us guidance in our practices.
